Margaux grew up in Seattle, where she became the only kindergartener in her elementary school choir by bothering her music teacher every single day. She spent her childhood performing at Seattle Public Theater and Penguin Productions, and was deeply involved with her theatre and choir departments in high school, where her favorite role was an old woman who got to squish real tomatoes with her bare hands onstage. She's also worked in arts education from a young age, helping lead summer classes for Seattle Children's Theater, Greenstage Shakespeare in the Park, and Illumination Learning Studio.
In 2023, Margaux graduated from St. Olaf College with BAs in theater and history. There, she was able to grow her skills as a performer with favorite roles like Lauren in Circle Mirror Transformation and Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show. She gained experience with developing new works, and she originated the part of Gail in Brigit van Gemeren's Vigilantes, which has gone on to be produced several times across the country. She served as the Director of Marketing and Outreach for Deep End Student Theater, a student-run organization at St. Olaf that produces shows, hosts performance events, and promotes engagement with the arts. She also began her career as a dramaturg while studying both theater and history, and has worked on shows spanning a variety of styles, time periods, and topics.
Enthusiastic about all forms of theatre, Margaux is always excited for the opportunity to portray queer characters, and feels passionately about participating in or supporting works with diverse perspectives and equitable artistic practices. They have a special affinity for art that uses comedy as a means to access more difficult topics, and they have dabbled in developing original comedic material. Their favorite plays tend to be small, character-driven pieces with challenging scene work and complicated relationship dynamics. Some of their artistic inspirations are Rachel Bloom, Carrie Fisher, Jinkx Monsoon, Bonnie Milligan, Hannah Gadsby, and the members of Team StarKid.
In her free time, Margaux enjoys memorizing the entire song catalogue of Taylor Swift, maintaining an active Goodreads account, growing her mug collection, taking photos of her dog, and subjecting her Twitter followers to live-tweet threads of Succession and RuPaul's Drag Race.
